Hundreds of young rioters fought police for eight hours in the fifth violent clash this year between authorities and squatters protesting Armsterdam's critical housing shortage. The fighting began after squatters again seized a house they had occupied until July 3. The building had since been legally occupied by an English family, who were themselves ejected by the squatters. On Monday evening, police evicted the squatters and arrested four people.
