New family center seeks two-career couples for survey

Catalyst, the national organization dedicated to helping women achieve their career goals, has announced the creation of the Career and Family Center. The center is funded by a major grant from the W. K. Kellogg Foundation for the purpose of responding to problems facing the two-career family and their corporate employers. The center will conduct basic research, serve as an information resource for both corporations and individuals, and develop pilot programs.

The first major task of the center will be to field two major quantitative surveys, one directed at the top 1,300 corporations, the other directed at two-career couples. These surveys are aimed at identifying what corporations and individuals perceive as the greatest obstacles facing the two-career family, and at uncovering some creative solutions.
