Argentina asked to free human rights activists

Legal groups have filed writs of habeas corpus requesting that federal police produce six human right activists reported arrested in Buenos Aires Friday night , relatives of the detainees said. The domestic news agency Noticias Argentinas said Saturday that men identifying themselves as federal police detained the activists.

The arrests were also reported by the London-based human rights group Amnesty Internation al but there has been no official word from the police.
