Spring Cook 'N' Tour weekends have started at Johnson and Wales College in Providence, Rhode Island. This culinary adventure combines professionally conducted cooking classes, exquisite food and sightseeing in New England.

The weekends begins with a welcoming gala dinner on Friday night. Cooking classes take place all Saturday morning, followed by a mid-day luncheon based on the chef-instructor's menu preparation. In the afternoon, everyone is involved in making beautiful flower and vegetable carvings for buffet decorations.

The highlight of the weekend is the Classical Banquet on Saturday night, a procession of picture-perfect gourmet dishes presented with white glove service, and comments on the selections for each course.

Followed by a leisurely Sunday brunch, guests are taken on an escorted tour of Newport, visit one of the mansions, and browse through the boutiques clustered around Brick Market and Bowen's Wharf.

Accomodations are at the Rhode Island Inn, owned and operated by Johnson and Wales College. The complete weekend, including accommodations for two days and night, all meals, a day of cooking classes, tour transportation and instructional materials of $185 per person double occupancy or $205 single occupancy. Class size is limited so reservations are recommended at an early date.
