'Alice' at the Morgan Library

About these ads

Another Lewis Carroll birthday celebration is taking place at the Morgan Library here. Only in this case it's an exhibition of Carroll's memorabilia, including the original autographed manuscript of ''Alice's Adventures Under Ground,'' original artwork, letters, diaries, manuscripts, books, and photographs. Of particular interest are Carroll's distinguished treatises on mathematics and logic, original drawings by John Tenniel, Harry Furniss, and Carroll himself, and some of the personal items of Alice Lidell, the inspiration for the ''Alice'' stories.

This highly interesting exhibition will remain open to the public at the Morgan Library through April 18.
