Spring is like saying sprout to a tulip

Or grow to a child Bud to a rose. It is a freshet of thoughts, A wild pink sunrise in the mind Spring mines the gold of forsythia, Does a dance of elves about a mushroom Sends lovers to the moon, Melts the heart of winter snows with a delight of sun Warms the loving cup of old men's dreams And maddens young men's arms with love. Leap, spring, out of our stormy hearts Into a grass warring of peaceful armies, Brave battle spring, into peace.
