Budget minicomputer from Japan

The Casio Computer Company announced May 10 that it will market a personal computer before the end of the year for less than $70. The computer will appear in Japanese stores this August at a price of about $63, the company said.

It was not immediately known when the product, known as PB100, would be on sale overseas. Cassio, which specializes in digital watches and calculators, says it plans to produce 20,000 personal computers each month.
