Sudan tests Qaddafi offer to lead anti-Israel troops

Sudan has offered to send an army division and an air force squadron under the command of Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi to fight the Israeli troops in Lebanon, the official Sudan News Agency (SUNA) reported.

SUNA said Colonel Qaddafi urged Arab leaders to send troops to fight Israel in Lebanon under his personal command in an appeal broadcast by Radio Tripoli on Friday. Sudan decided to take him up on his offer. Relations between Sudan and Libya have been tense because of border problems and foreign policies.
