Arab League may invite Egypt to summit meeting

The Arab League agreed to consider inviting Egypt, banned from Arab meetings for the last three years, to an Arab summit meeting planned for Morocco next month, Sudanese President Jaafar al-Nimeiri said.

The ministerial meeting will prepare for reconvening the 12th Arab League summit, which was suspended in November after a row over a Saudi Middle East peace plan that implicitly recognizes Israel's right to exist within its pre- 1967 borders.
