When it comes to revolts, it pays to be picky.

Mercenaries jailed in the Seychelles for their part in a coup attempt last year were offered freedom by Seychelles army rebels who staged an unsuccessful revolt this month. Said the mercenaries: No thanks, we'll sit tight. The Seychelles government was so impressed it took the mercenaries out of solitary confinement, and one of them says they aren't even locked up any more. This fuels speculation that the four mercenaries sentenced to death will be spared, and the jail terms of the other two reduced.
