Arrest is made in Tylenol case

Kevin John Masterson, wanted in connection with the seven Tylenol cyanide poisoning deaths in the Chicago area, was arrested Tuesday, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

Mr. Masterson had been sought for questioning because he apparently held a grudge against Jewel Food Stores for filing shoplifting charges against his former wife in 1975. Some of the cyanide victims bought Tylenol capsules at Jewel stores. Authorities still seek Mr. and Mrs. James Lewis, accused of writing a letter to the makers of Tylenol demanding $1 million ''if you want to stop the killing.''
