Italian authorities are investigating the possibility that one of Lech Walesa's Solidarity colleagues was involved in an alleged Bulgarian plot to kill the Polish union leader two years ago, the Italian news agency ANSA said. The man named is Ryszard Kalinowski, former vice-chairman of Solidarity's national commission.
