Soviets counter US on Aeroflot limits

The Soviet state airline Aeroflot retaliated against President Reagan's sanctions by refusing to honor tickets issued by American airlines. Tickets issued by other airlines will still be accepted, an Aeroflot spokesman said Wednesday. The US recently suspended Aeroflot's right to sell tickets in the US in retaliation for the Soviet downing of a South Korean airliner.

The Soviet Union also rejected a compensation claim by Japan for 28 Japanese passengers aboard the South Korean airliner.
