Police gird for Olympics with antiterrorist devices

Police preparing for the Olympic Games are stockpiling a cache of antiterrorist hardware, including silencer-equipped submachine guns, aerial and underwater surveillance devices, and a robot. Police will spend over half a million dollars on the equipment, which they will keep once the Games are over.
