New dimension

Perspectives change. The years are telescoped. The vistas are no longer bright and vast. The hourglass does its work on all we hoped; Complacency has crumbled with the past. A vague, a partly undefined unrest Insinuates itself into our peace; Uneasily we notice in the west The sinking of the sun in deep cerise. Always we were aware that there was more But pushed it back to court the shorter view. The daily round seemed tangible; it bore Us onward in a world we thought we knew. But now a new dimension makes its claim On all we thought and did in living's name.
