GOVERNOR GETS MORE PROTECTION
| TALLAHASSEE, FLA.
Florida law enforcement agents have increased security for Gov. Bob Martinez because of fears of a backlash from Colombian drug lords, who have threatened to kill an American politician if any of the drug kingpins are extradited to the US. Mr. Martinez said his recent trip to South America to survey drug-fighting efforts made him a prime target. He also serves as the National Governors' Association's leader on substance abuse and drug trafficking.
