Scenes and Scenarios

Some days I wake from a world with no boundaries and no limitations. Earth, sea, or air are all mine; all countries entered and left without passports, quotas, roadblocks or restrictions and at no expense. Sometimes I meet those lost or vanished from my life, their faces ageless, smiling as though in some zone immune to time or tears. And in that scope, no hope is too vain for me to entertain. There are no paths barred to me, no scenes where I cannot drift or dally at my own tempo, in soft surrender or in savage splendor. And on such days, something seems to say: unlike Alexander, you will never need to weep because there are no new worlds to conquer. By night, all gateways open. And I awaken thinking, who knows what mountains dreams alone can teach me that I may move?
