Clinton should condemn war in Chechnya

President Clinton has rightly condemned the terrorist bombing of the federal building in Oklahoma City. But while the president is in Russia this week, he should equally condemn the far greater tragedy and brutal barbarity of Russian state terrorism against the Chechen people. The Chechens not only had one building bombed, but thousands bombed. And it just wasn't one tragic day, but four months where men, women, and children were indiscriminately bombed with no one to help pull the survivors out of the ruble.

If the bombers of the federal building in Oklahoma City are to be condemned for their heinous crime, then the perpetrators of the terrorism against the Chechen people should likewise not be excused.
