William Shakespeare is indisputably the most celebrated name in theater, and his plays are performed more than those of any other playwright. In addition to authoring classics such as Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, and Macbeth, the great Bard of Avon was also a prolific writer of sonnets. His work is riddled with memorable aphorisms, some of which are included in 'Geary's Guide to the World's Great Aphorists' by James Geary. April 23, 2012, marks his 448th birthday.
