Missouri (2002)

Missouri was the lowest seeded team (No. 12 out of the West Region) ever to advance as far as they did into the tournament. They steamrolled No. 5 seed Miami (FL.) and No. 4 seed Ohio State, winning handily, before downing No. 8 UCLA in the Sweet Sixteen (the Bruins were fresh off of a 105-101 win over No. 1 seed Cincinnati). Missouri’s improbable run came to an end against No. 2 seed Oklahoma in the Elite Eight.
