In what amounted to one glorious 'Last Hurrah' before his home fans, middle linebacker Ray Lewis returned to action after a 12-week injury absence to lead Baltimore over the Indianapolis Colts, 24-9, in a wild-card game Sunday. The statistical line for the ever-emotive, inspirational team leader, who is retiring after this, his 17th, season, was pure Lewis: a team-leading 13 tackles, including nine solo stops. To top it off, the Ravens, who now must take on the Broncos in Denver, put in Lewis at fullback for the final kneel-down play, which he followed with his famous “squirrel dance” and a crowd-pleasing victory lap around M&T Bank Stadium.
