In Bulgaria, a round loaf of bread is made with a coin baked inside. On Christmas, the loaf is split into pieces for all the members of the household, and the person who gets the piece with the coin inside, according to tradition, will have health and prosperity in the coming year. Christmas tradition also includes midnight caroling by Bulgarian boys.
