90 KILLED IN Iranian village as fire sets off dynamite

Dynamite for road-building blew up in a southern Iranian village Monday night. A building contractor had stored the explosives in a private house, and the disaster occurred when he started welding work on a door of the house. A spark set fire to some cables and trees and the blaze spread to the dynamite. At least 90 people, mostly villagers trying to put out the fire, were killed.
