Bread crumbs

Use sugar-free bread, homemade or from a bakery to make bread crumbs for deep-frying foods.

Remove crusts from the stale bread, slice thinly, tear into small pieces and place on a baking sheet. Bake in center of preheated oven at 200 degrees F. until very dry but not brown, about 45 minutes.

Cool, crush in processor or blender or with rolling pin between sheets of waxed paper.
