Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

What can be done to ensure college athletes make progress toward a degree? One idea, advocated by Indiana basketball coach Bobby Knight among others, is to institute a very simple scholarship formula. A school could offer only as many athletic grants as there were graduating scholarship athletes.
