Food stamp crackdown implicates 200 people

Nearly 200 people may face federal or state charges in the largest crackdown yet on the illegal use of food stamps, officials said.

US Attorney Lamond Mills announced a 4-month undercover investigation had resulted in federal indictments and criminal complaints. Using a total of $126, 750 in food stamps, federal agents purchased items and services ranging from a house to favors of prostitutes.
