JAZZ Charles Lloyd Quartet: ''Montreux '82.'' Charles Lloyd, flute, tenor saxophone; Michel Petrucciani, piano; Palle Danielsson, bass; Son Ship Theus, drums. (Elektra/Musician 60220-1.) This live album is a joy to the ears and the spirit - music that is more than technical finesse or mere emotion. The four men on this date obviously shared a special feeling for one another that the technology of putting sound on vinyl does not obscure. The fire and warmth of Lloyd's Coltrane-inspired tenor, Danielsson's strong, sensitive bass, Theus's coloristic drumming, and the bold and lyrical improvisations of French pianistic phenomenon Petrucciani combine to make this a thoroughly enjoyable set. All of the tunes, except Bill Evans's ''Very Early,'' are by Charles Lloyd, including his lovely ''Forest Flower.''
