BREAD PRODUCT SALES TO PASS $15 BILLION

The market for bread and bread products will grow 4 percent to pass $15 billion in retails sales in 1989, and will continue to grow at that rate until reaching $19 billion in 1995, according to a new study by Packaged Facts Inc., a research company. Most of the projected growth is attributed to instore bakery products. In recent years the number of instore bakeries has increased 6 percent annually, while instore bakery sales have grown 17 percent per year.
