EMPLOYEES WILLING TO TRADE BENEFITS FOR MORE VACATION
MENLO PARK, CALIF.
With summer in full swing, the perennial lament of "not enough vacation" can be heard across the land. According to a new survey, 83 percent of executives say their employees are willing to trade other benefits - including pay - for more rest and relaxation.
The study was developed by Accountemps, a temporary staffing service for accounting and information workers. "Employees have come to realize that every benefit offered to them, even vacation time, has a dollar value associated with it," says Max Messner, chairman of Accountemps. "They can also see the advantage of trading one benefit for another."
