Mideast peace calendar

The revised Wye accord schedule agreed to last week:

By Sept. 13:

*Start of negotiations on final-status of all outstanding issues. The goal: a pact within one year.

*7 percent of West Bank land handed over to Palestinian control.

*200 Palestinian prisoners released from Israeli jails.

On Oct. 1:

*A southern "safe passage" route set up for Palestinians traveling between West Bank and Gaza.

*Palestinians start construction of Gaza seaport.

By Oct. 5:

*An agreement on location of a northern "safe passage" route to be in use within four months.

On Oct. 8:

*The release of 150 more Palestinian prisoners.

On Nov. 15:

*5 percent of West Bank land handed over to Palestinian control.

In early December:

*More Palestinian prisoners released.

On Jan. 20, 2000:

*6.1 percent of West Bank land handed over to Palestinian control. A total of 40 percent of West Bank under Palestinian rule.
