Chechen plight

UN human rights chief Mary Robinson arrived in Moscow yesterday, after a trip to Chechnya, to discuss alleged human rights abuses. Earlier, she sympathized with Russian losses, but said: "The whole civilian population should not answer for the acts of various terrorists and groups."
